SYMPHONY HALL, Boston, Massachusetts
Over a century, the acoustics of this landmark concert hall have remained world-class, as has the Orchestra’s reputation. As Principal with ABA, Pamela Hawkes guided a series of master plans for the BSO’s facilities over more than a decade, examining adjacent properties and considering options for modest upgrades as well as long-range improvements. A series of renovations completed within the tight three-month annual window when the Hall is “dark” have enhanced lighting within the performance hall as well as expanding and upgrading the Box Office, main refreshment bar, artist dressing rooms and public restrooms.
