"Putting the Horse before the House"

Nick and Sarah Armentrout’s home at their Spring Creek Farm in Lyman, Maine was featured in a recent issue of Maine Home and Design.  In 2008, Scott designed the 11,000 square foot indoor arena to support the Equest Therapeutic Riding Center, which they founded at the farm in 1998.  Now called the Carlisle Academy Integrative Equine Therapy & Sports, the organization “provides equine-assisted activities and therapies children and adults with emotional, intellectual, and physical disabilities.”  In 2011, Scott re-oriented, renovated and expanded the existing farmhouse on the site to create more room for Nick and Sarah’s growing family, as well as space for social activities associated with the organization’s innovative programming.
